Robin Buckley Receives US Lacrosse Award
Excellence in Growing the Game
Robert ‘Robin’ Buckley – Fox Point, Wis.
This award is for an individual who supports the US Lacrosse mission and vision, working effectively and tirelessly to develop lacrosse in a particular geographic area. Robin Buckley has been involved in lacrosse for over 20 years and has consistently sought out opportunities to provide individuals with coaches’ training and any other programs to help support the sport’s development in a positive way. He is actively involved in finding ways to incorporate all US Lacrosse resources to the fullest including: the coaches’ training and certification programs, the New Start Program, hosting National Team Clinics for both boys and girls, hosting annual PCA workshops, and he has attended the National Convention every year since 1992. In 2002, Buckley founded the Wisconsin chapter of US Lacrosse and the Wisconsin Lacrosse Federation (WLF). With his enthusiasm and excitement for the sport, Buckley hopes to spread the game to areas that are currently untouched.
Girls Youth Lacrosse
MAYLA held a Girls Youth lacrosse meeting on
Sept. 13th to discuss information of a girls youth league for spring 2010! The following communities are currently working to form teams: Kettle Moraine, Brookfield, Waukesha and Lake Country. These groups will be working cooperatively in forming teams and league play. Please share this information with everyone in your respective programs as I bet that there are other communities that may be interested!! Contacts are listed below:

The MAYLA all-conference teams are team of eleven players selected from the nine varsity high school teams in the Milwaukee Area Lacrosse League. These players were nominated and voted on by the area coaches. They include three attackmen, midfielders and defensemen, one goalie and one long stick midfielder. 1st Team All-Conference team:

US Lacrosse Membership
The mission of US Lacrosse is to ensure a unified and responsive organization that develops and promotes the sport of lacrosse by providing services to it's members and programs to inspire participation, while preserving the integrity of the game.
